Benefits Available During Open Enrollment

Benefits Included With Health Plan Enrollment

Individuals enrolled in a State of Delaware non-Medicare health plan are automatically enrolled in the prescription drug plan administered by CVS Caremark. CVS Caremark provides an Automatic Refill and Renewal program for home delivery, CVS Pharmacy Pickup and Delivery Options and over 66,000 pharmacies are available under the CVS Caremark network. You will also have access to a variety of digital tools that offer the ability to check drug cost and coverage, request a prescription, view your ID Card, and manage your profile. Individuals enrolled in a State of Delaware Aetna or Highmark Delaware non-Medicare health plan are automatically enrolled in this FREE benefit. SurgeryPlus provides an alternative to using your health plan for a planned surgical procedure that is not an emergency. It requires doctors and facilities to meet strict credential guidelines leading to the highest quality care possible. SurgeryPlus negotiates a single cost (bundled rate) for the entire surgical procedure, resulting in savings to the State of Delaware. These savings are shared with the member through financial incentives. As a result, members will not have to pay a copay, deductible, or coinsurance for any services through SurgeryPlus. In addition, it comes with a concierge service (Care Advocate) and travel benefits! Learn more about SurgeryPlus by clicking the links below.

The ComPsych® GuidanceResources® program is a FREE program available exclusively for State of Delaware Group Health Plan non-Medicare members and their dependents. The program offers someone to talk to and resources to consult whenever and wherever you need them. Members can call the toll-free number at 877-527-4742 directly for 24/7 access to a GuidanceConsultant℠, who will answer your questions and, if needed, refer you to a counselor or other resources such as work-life, legal and financial support. You also have access to the website at www.guidanceresources.com (WebID:State of Delaware), mobile app to consult articles, podcasts, videos, webinars, and other helpful tools. Other State Benefits

Important: The DEFER plans are administered by the Office of the State Treasurer.

“DEFER” is the voluntary retirement program, 457(b) and 403(b) plans, available to most employees of State Agencies, School Districts, Charter Schools, Delaware Technical Community College and Delaware State University. Participation in the deferred compensation plan is a critical component of a balanced plan for retirement alongside Social Security, pension, and personal savings. The steps you take today will affect how you spend tomorrow. Employees can sign up or change their contributions for DEFER at any time of the year; however, Open Enrollment is a great opportunity for employees to review their retirement savings. For more details, view the informational video or contact a plan representative.
