Accident and Critical Illness Insurance - Securian Financial
The 2026 Benefits Open Enrollment Period is May 4-15, 2026 for the New Plan Year July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Employees can enroll in Accident and/or Critical Illness Insurance during Open Enrollment by accessing Employee Self-Service through my.delaware.gov. Navigation for enrollment: Benefits > Benefits Websites > Securian.
Accident and/or Critical Illness Insurance enrolled members, their spouse, and child are eligible for a Health and Wellness Benefit offered by Securian. Securian will pay $50 for each covered member, spouse, and child* per plan year who undergo a covered wellness screening. For more information on this benefit, contact Securian at (877) 215-1489.
*Effective July 1, 2025 the Health and Wellness benefit will be paid to all covered dependents per plan year, regardless of the number of children.
The State of Delaware has partnered with Securian Financial to provide Accident and Critical Illness Insurance for State of Delaware employees. It is difficult to anticipate the extra expenses a serious accident or illness may bring, but with Securian Financial you can be prepared.
Accident and Critical Illness Insurance provide lump sum cash payments if you, or a covered dependent, suffer an injury from an accident or are diagnosed with a condition covered under the policy.
