Division of Statewide Benefits

The Division of Statewide Benefits supports the health of employees and pensioners by providing progressive comprehensive benefits, quality customer service, ongoing employee education and engagement and efficient program management to ensure the best interests of participants. To accomplish this mission employees are offered a broad range of insurance coverage including, but not limited to, life, health, dental, vision and supplemental benefit insurance. As these benefits are an important part of your total compensation package with the State, this website includes a wealth of information about each of these programs and coverage available to you and your family. The Insurance Coverage Office (ICO), working under the direction of the Director of Statewide Benefits, is responsible for providing quality support for the state government's insurance needs. ICO manages the insurance program for state vehicles, buildings and property and workers compensation, as well as reviewing state facilities for safety issues and providing safety programs to state employees. Questions for ICO staff should be directed to the Insurance Coverage Office.
