Participating Groups (Including UD)
The Department of Treasury and the IRS issued Notice 2020-76 that reiterated that Congress reduced the ACA’s individual shared responsibility penalty to zero effective January 1, 2019. This means that individuals no longer need to receive a Form 1095-B documenting their enrollment in coverage in order to complete their income tax returns. However, individuals may still receive a copy of their 1095-B Form upon request. The request must be sent to the Statewide Benefits Office, 97 Commerce Way Suite 201, Dover, DE 19904 or via email to benefits@delaware.gov. Individuals with questions can call 1-800-489-8933. Requests will be satisfied within 30 days.
