New Hire Onboarding
Welcome to the State of Delaware – we’re excited to have you join our team!
Starting a new role is an exciting step, and we’re committed to making your transition smooth and supportive. Through our New Hire Onboarding (NHO) process, you’ll complete key documentation, review important statewide policies, attend the in-person Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO), and connect with your HR Representative to gain system access, and review important information including any agency-specific items.
Use the information and resources below to complete your onboarding requirements. Many of your onboarding activities will take place in Delaware Launchpad (DLP).
- Complete your State Identity Proofing.
- Register for a my.Delaware.gov account.
- Follow instructions to log into Delaware Launchpad (NEOGOV) and complete required documents.
- Check for emails from your Agency HR and respond promptly to avoid any delays in the hiring process.
Important: Initial completion of all required forms should be done through Delaware Launchpad (NEOGOV), prior to In-Person Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) unless otherwise notified by your Supervisor or HR Representative.
- Employee Information Form
- Federal W-4
- State of Delaware Tax Withholding Form
- Direct Deposit Authorization
- I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- Oath to Support the Constitution
- Pension P-1 Form
- Pension Beneficiary Designation
- Health/Dental/Vision Enrollment (if eligible)
- Acceptable Use Policy
- Agreement to Comply and Acknowledgment of Receipt Benefit Eligible Employees (if applicable)
- Agreement to Comply and Acknowledgment of Receipt-Casual/Seasonal or Non-Benefit Eligible Employees (if applicable)
- Casual/Seasonal Employment Statement (if applicable)
Your agency may require additional forms.
You are required to review and acknowledge Statewide policies and complete assigned training.
Examples Include:
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Policy
- Drug-Free Workplace Policy
- Workplace Violence Prevention Policy
Required training will be assigned through the Delaware Learning Center (DLC) unless instructed otherwise and with the exception of those completed Day 1 in Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO).
- Review your offer/appointment letter
- Prepare I-9 required documents
- Complete any outstanding tasks in DLP
- Confirm start time and reporting location
