Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame Portrait Exhibit
In 2021, the Office of Women’s Advancement commissioned Delaware Artist, Theresa Walton, to create watercolor portraits of each woman inducted. We invite you to visit the Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame website where you can not only see each of the portraits, but also read more about each of the inductees. If you would like to visit the collection of portraits in-person, they are currently on display at the ChristianaCare Center for Heart & Vascular Health. Visitors to the ChristianaCare Newark Campus can see the collection in the Center for Heart & Vascular Health lobby area, located at 4755 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE.
Kids Video Contest
Each year, the Office of Women’s Advancement & Advocacy (OWAA) invites Delaware students ages 8–13 to join our Kids Video Contest. This contest gives young people a chance to share their creativity by answering one question: "Which woman in the Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame inspires you and why?"
Members of the Delaware Women Hall of Fame Committee select the winners based on creativity and storytelling. Winning videos are featured at the Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and shared on OWAA platforms. Winners are also invited to attend the event and be recognized.
The contest is free and open to Delaware students. Annual themes, rules, and deadlines are posted on our website when the contest is open for submissions.
