OWAA is proud to be a partner site for the Biden Institute Summer Internship Program. 2024 Applications Are Now Open! These paid, career-focused 8-10 week internships will provide students with hands-on experience in public policy, communications, event planning, and advocacy with non-profit organizations and government agencies. Applicants must be University of Delaware students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year.

• Clear grasp of the policy and lawmaking process.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in formulating and recommending policy positions.
• Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing landscapes and to work well under pressure and deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple projects and the ability to handle competing deadlines.
• Ability to project confidence and competency when working with senior members of the legislative and executive branches.

Please note that for special events, volunteers need to be available during evenings or weekends.

Would you like to serve on the Delaware Commission for Women or the Delaware Women's Hall of Fame Committee as a voting member? Please submit your application. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as spots become available. In the meantime, you can always participate in the meetings (including serving on subcommittees) as a non-voting member. The meetings are open to the public.
